Catherine Hulshof, PhD, is a National Science Foundation CAREER award recipient and an assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University. She studies the impacts of climate change on mountain biodiversity across North and Central America. As a Chicana, she has been working to disrupt the broken model of academia from within, for over 15 years.
She co-founded Collaboratory to find people just like her – scientists who want to use an interdisciplinary approach to tackle big problems.
Wilson Dávalos-Nieves
Co-founder
Wilson Dávalos-Nieves, born in Puerto Rico, is a Linux enthusiast who loves ML, Data Science and Open Source. Wilson has contributed to In-stream Ad standards used by Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and was a former member of the Advertising Club of New York.
He has worked with Amazon, MSN, and Google on ad serving technology and has consulted with top-tier publishers on managing ad operations workflow. Wilson speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese. In his free time, Wilson wants to learn Esperanto and Italian.
